Meet Ash Penn by DH Starr

Ash Penn has been writing for years but has only recently found her home in erotic romance. Good move, since she, and we as readers, celebrated her first publication in June 2010. Stray, published by Loose ID, is the first of what I hope will be a long line of novels. Writing gay erotica, she has a penchant for creating characters that are non-standard in look and behavior, a fresh (and brave) approach in a genre that has to work harder for recognition and audience. The style works well. I for one can attest that Stray is gripping and keeps you on the edge of your seat. As a member of her writing group, I can also tell you that you her upcoming works are just as riveting, if not more so.

Hailing from the other side of the pond, she brings a subtle tone and affect to her writing style that adds to the flavor of her stories. Ash finds many story ideas in music and songs. Stray was inspired by the song Sewn by the British band The Feeling. When not writing, Ash’s other interests include going to the beach, reading, and on occasion she has been known to delve into the exciting world of online gaming. She limits herself to only two hours a week or else she wouldn’t get any writing done…thanks for the self-monitoring Ash!
